How would the proposed Deer Lodge Elementary School Bond affect you and your property taxes?
To find out what the impact on your property taxes would be, do the following:
1. All property owners in the elementary district can find their market and taxable value by going to this link https://itax.tylertech.com/PowellMT/
2. Type in the land owner name and hit search.
3. You will see the market value and taxable value right there on the screen.
4. To find the estimated tax impact, you are going to take the taxable value and multiply that by .06894. As an example: One of our taxpayers property has a market value of $304,253 and a taxable value of $2,312. You take $2,312 and multiply that by .06894 and you get an estimated tax impact of $159.39 per year or $13.28 per month.
